Travel Hyderabad by Road

You can travel Hyderabad by Road, either by bus or car.

by Bus...
The highway (express way) network linking Hyderabad to various parts of the country is very easy. Hyderabad is connected to rest of the states by National Highways - NH-7, NH-9 and NH-202. Being the capital of Andhra Pradesh it is also very well connected to all the towns and cities of the region.

There are many private buses that carry out daily between Hyderabad and other major cities of India. These range from special buses to deluxe AC ones.

Now a days many luxurious buses have been introduced by state Govt. and private operators. You will find different classes in buses, like sleeper class and semi-sleeper class. Many buses are having TV and music system for entertainment purpose. Toilets and Coffee bars were introduced in Volvo Coaches, though it will be costly but you and your family will be comfortable for long journey.

Tourist Buses will halt for 20-30 minutes on Dhabas or Restaurants.

Hyderabad has the third largest bus station facility in Asia, with 72 platforms for 72 buses to load passengers at a time. Officially named as the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station, it is locally known as the Imlibun Bus Station, owned by Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC). People usually call it Imlibun bus station, though it is not the official name. It is the largest bus station in Asia. Many buses from other states like Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Orissa and Tamil Nadu arrive at this bus station daily.

Currently Bus Station consists of about 19,000 strong bus fleet. There are more than 4000 buses in the city running the point to point service.

By Car...
Travel to Hyderabad by car is a easiest option. You can travel in your own car or else you can rent a car. Car Rental Companies will charge as per distance (kilometers) from your destination to Hyderabad. Also they will charge Driver bhatta (Driver charges). So before hiring a car, confirm with them about the Driver bhatta, night halt charges, extra km charges and other important information.

Follow traffic rules and drive safely and don't forget to wear a seat belt.

Always avoid drinking while driving.

Wish you a Happy Journey!
